More gothic gay weirdness from David DeCoteau (The Brotherhood), the film is loosely based on Poe's short story The Fall of the House of Usher and debuted originally on the Here! network. Hot-looking Victor (Michael Cardelle) rides up on his motorcycle to old boyfriend Roderic Usher's (Frank Mentier) crumbling mansion where he lives with his ailing sister. Roderic or "Ush" as Victor calls him, is frail and sensitive to loud sounds and light. And at night Victor is visited by the spirits of gardeners and plumbers (typically for a DeCoteau film in their underwear) who have been used by Usher and his sister to keep the mansion alive. They really should call this Edgar Allan Poe's House Of Underpants. The hunk quotient is above average and the "crumbling" house is so ludicrously modern and un-run-down that every time they mention it's poor state you have to laugh. God forgive me, but just I love the perverse, bizarre films of David DeCoteau and can't wait to see what he'll do with Tomb Of Ligea.
